Condition : In very good condition, fixed on to a contemporary outsized sheet of thick cream paper. Decent margins, good impression. Lightly age toned.

A humorous French satirical cartoon asking the difference between a policeman and Eau de Sedlitz (a purgative liquid). The caption answers "one stops/arrests while the other releases!" The image depicts a policeman arresting a man.
It is worth noting is the street name Avenue des Pincefesses - Pinch bottom Avenue!, around the corner, a character holds up a large bottle of Eau de Sedlitz. A wood engraving.

Il convient de noter le nom de la rue Avenue des Pincefesses - Pincez l'avenue du bas !, au coin de la rue, un personnage brandit une grande bouteille d'Eau de Sedlitz. Une gravure sur bois.
